Alexander was buried next to his mother in the royal crypt at St. Georges Church, also known as Oplenac, in Topola, Yugoslavia, now in Serbia. The fourth of the five children of the future King Peter I of Serbia and Princess Zorka of Montenegro, King Alexander I of Yugoslavia was born on December 1, 1888, in Cetinje, Montenegro.
